The shared grievances between the Associação Sindical dos Profissionais da Polícia (ASPP/PSP) and PSP officers, primarily concerning their rights, are the focus, according to the organization’s statement.
The demonstration scheduled for December 11 is one of two initiatives announced by ASPP/PSP after it withdrew from government negotiations last week.
Regarding the negotiation process, deemed “uselessly lengthy,” APG/GNR finds the government’s proposal to revise the ordinance on remunerated services unacceptable.
The association explains, “Remunerated services are mainly provided to private entities, are voluntary, and performed after regular service hours, requiring prolonged presence at the service location.”
For GNR representatives, other measures, such as the remuneration system, should be prioritized.
Until then, they assert, the “APG/GNR will not refrain from resorting to protest with the necessary firmness.”
