The GNR Territorial Command in Braga has announced the culmination of an investigation that began approximately two months ago, following a burglary complaint from homeowners in Celeirós.
On Wednesday, during a police operation, GNR officers conducted inquiries leading to the execution of two search warrants, one residential and another involving a vehicle, in Feitosa, Ponte de Lima, in the district of Viana do Castelo.
The Braga GNR source revealed that part of the stolen gold was found at the suspect’s residence and another part had been sold to a jewelry store in Viana do Castelo.
The GNR successfully recovered all the gold stolen by the 42-year-old suspect.
The source was unable to confirm the suspect’s occupation or any connection to the Celeirós homeowners.
The case has been referred to the Judicial Court of Braga.
