A stolen pet, specifically a dog, was recovered by the Évora Territorial Command of the National Republican Guard (GNR), through the Borba Territorial Post, on Wednesday, October 29.
As part of a patrolling activity conducted in the locality of Borba, “the Guard’s officers detected a dog displaying signs of abandonment,” explained a statement sent to newsrooms this Thursday.
During the police procedures, the officers of the Guard “performed a chip read and consulted the Companion Animal Information System (SIAC),” determining that “the animal had been stolen in the locality of Vimieiro, in the Arraiolos municipality.”
The animal was immediately recovered and “returned to its rightful owner,” and the facts were reported to the Vila Viçosa Judicial Court.
