
The first vehicle was stolen on October 15 in Zamora, with the other two vehicles taken on the 19th of the same month in Cáceres, as stated by the GNR in a communiqué.
Two vehicles were located and recovered on Friday morning in the locality of Vila Prado, in the municipality of Vila Verde, and another on the afternoon of the same day in Valadares, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia.
“Inside the vehicle supposedly stolen in Zamora, 1,000 kilograms of copper and 1,000 kilograms of electric motors were found. In the two vehicles allegedly stolen in Cáceres, an additional 4,500 kilograms of copper were discovered,” the GNR reports.
The vehicles have been returned to their owners.
The facts have been reported to the Judicial Court of Bragança, and the Spanish authorities have been informed of the results of this operation.
The three suspects of the thefts were arrested by the Guardia Civil and are being held in preventive custody in Cáceres, Spain.
