
A 35-year-old man was arrested on Thursday in Matosinhos in connection with an investigation involving threats with a firearm, the National Republican Guard (GNR) announced on Saturday.
In a statement to the press, the Porto Territorial Command of the GNR stated that police operations were conducted, culminating in the execution of a search warrant at a residence and in vehicles.
During these searches, drugs, weapons, and ammunition were seized, including:
- 224 doses of hashish;
- 60 doses of cannabis;
- 40 doses of MDMA;
- Nine airsoft guns;
- Six containers of airsoft ammunition;
- Three blades;
- A mobile phone;
- 490 euros in cash;
- 15 packs of rolling papers;
- Three packs of filters;
- A precision scale;
- Three cannabis grinders;
- A pipe;
- Six containers of anabolic steroids;
- 16 pyrotechnic items.
The man was arrested for drug trafficking and possession of prohibited weapons, and the facts were reported to the Matosinhos Judicial Court.
“The police operation was bolstered by the Intervention Detachment (DI) of the Porto Territorial Command and the Special Operations and Intervention Group (GIOE) of the Intervention Unit (UI),” concluded the GNR statement.
