
After confirming a second date at Porto’s Coliseu, GNR has announced an additional concert date at the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon on November 6, with the last tickets still available for the concert on November 7, according to a statement released by the group’s management.
The concerts scheduled in Porto will take place on October 18 and 19.
During these performances, Toli César Machado, Rui Reininho, and Jorge Romão will share songs that have become iconic in Portuguese music and hold significance in the lives of many Portuguese people.
GNR (Grupo Novo Rock), formed in 1980 in Porto, has released 12 original albums, four compilation albums, and two live albums.
Before Rui Reininho joined, the group released their first single, “Portugal na CEE,” in 1981, featuring Alexandre Soares on vocals and guitar. In 1982, with their current lead vocalist, they released their debut album “Independança” and performed at the Vilar de Mouros festival.
Among the group’s most celebrated hits are “Dunas,” “Efetivamente,” “Pronúncia do Norte” featuring Isabel Silvestre, “Morte ao Sol,” “Popless,” “Mais vale nunca,” and “Vídeo Maria”.
Ticket prices for the concerts at the coliseums range from 20 to 55 euros in Porto, and between 25 and 55 euros in Lisbon.
