Goodbye, sun! Hello, rain Temperatures will drop this Thursday

After several days of intense heat, the sun has decided to take a break, and the upcoming days are expected to be a bit grayer.

The IPMA forecast for Thursday predicts partly cloudy or clear skies, with periods of heavy cloud cover along the west coast, where there is a possibility of light precipitation.

Temperatures are expected to drop across the country, except on the southern coast of the Algarve, with a maximum temperature of 35°C in Bragança and a minimum of 14°C in Viseu, Leiria, and Évora.

Today might also bring drizzle, particularly in the late morning or at the end of the day.

In Greater Lisbon and Greater Porto, there will be periods of mostly cloudy skies, with reduced cloudiness in the afternoon. There is a possibility of light rain or drizzle until the end of the morning and at the end of the day, and the wind will generally be light.

The forecast remains for Friday, with cloudiness expected to spread to all regions of the country and a high likelihood of rain along the coastal areas.

More than 20 municipalities in the districts of Bragança, Guarda, Viseu, and Castelo Branco are today at maximum risk of rural fire, according to the Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (IPMA).

The IPMA has also placed several municipalities in the North, Center, and Algarve at very high and high risk.
