The Barraqueiro Group confirmed on Tuesday, November 18, that searches are underway at the “headquarters of group companies in Lisbon,” as part of an investigation by the Central Department of Investigation and Penal Action (DCIAP) regarding the privatization of TAP in 2015.
“The Barraqueiro Group expresses complete confidence and calm regarding its involvement in the TAP privatization process, with no reason for concern about the ongoing proceedings,” the company stated in a communication to Notícias ao Minuto.
The group further clarified that, “voluntarily, a dossier containing all relevant information about the TAP privatization process, including extensive evidence of not having conducted any unclear actions or suspected irregularities, had already been submitted to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.”
“The Barraqueiro Group has provided and will continue to provide all requested cooperation to the authorities involved in this process, as it did previously during the respective Parliamentary Inquiry Commission,” they concluded.
