
According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), the tourism accommodation sector recorded 3.1 million guests in June, marking a 2.5% increase compared to the same month in 2024, alongside 8.1 million overnight stays, a rise of 3.1%.
During this period, the industry generated a total revenue of 751.8 million euros from all hotel operations and 583.4 million euros from room revenue, reflecting increases of 7.6% and 7.9%, respectively.
The growth in overnight stays was driven by residents, with an increase of 5.8% (following a 5.6% rise in May) reaching 2.4 million overnight stays, while non-residents contributed to a 2.0% rise (compared to a 0.1% decrease in May), totaling 5.7 million overnight stays, according to the INE.
