A baby was born in an ambulance belonging to the fire department of Figueira da Foz on the A14 highway at kilometer 15.6, with assistance from the VMER unit of the Figueira da Foz District Hospital.
“Very happy days! Congratulations to our firefighters Gabriel Santos and Beatriz Ribeiro for their professionalism, and of course, to the VMER team as well,” posted the Volunteer Firefighters of Figueira da Foz on Facebook this Sunday.
The association noted that, in the “coincidences of life,” the newborn “is the child of our firefighter Vitor Ramos and Ana Luísa, a firefighter in the reserve squad.”
“May he be happy, healthy, and live a long life as the pride of his parents. Naturally, we will reserve a spot in the School of Infants and Cadets for him,” they joked.
