“We cannot accept that the new normal is these tragedies that we are confronted with almost every day. Therefore, as I have said for a long time, even before I was a candidate, we need to stop pretending, move from words to actions, and find solutions to solve these problems in the health sector,” stated António José Seguro.
Speaking to journalists after visiting a store with Portuguese products in Brussels, the PS-supported candidate stressed that it should be possible, “within a reasonable timeframe, to access a medical consultation, a surgical intervention, and not have this schedule where we know where the emergency services are open on weekends and where they are closed.”
