The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries, according to the National Republican Guard.
“A heavy vehicle, heading north-south, went off course at kilometer 5.7, crossed the central barrier, and moved onto the south-north lane, which is currently blocked, causing minor injuries to the truck driver,” a source from the GNR stated.
In the north-south direction, traffic is limited to the right lane, with the other two lanes also closed, as per the same source.
The alert for the accident was given at 03:18 today, and by 06:20, 26 operatives and eight vehicles were on site.
The A1 connects Lisbon with Porto.
