In a statement, the PSP reported receiving information about a “domestic violence” incident. Upon their arrival, the young man involved was found to be in a “highly aggressive state,” having just assaulted his father with a chair, causing injuries to the father’s right hand.
“During the intervention, the suspect continued to exhibit hostile behavior towards police officers and family members. It was confirmed that there had been previous incidents of assault and threats in this context,” the statement noted.
The police in Bragança also discovered drugs in the suspect’s room, amounting to “102 individual doses” of cannabis, along with “a precision scale and other items related to drug use and preparation.”
The young man was arrested, and the drugs and materials were seized.
He remains in custody until he is brought before a judicial inquiry for the imposition of coercive measures.
