A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run incident on Wednesday morning in Ermesinde, Valongo, as reported by the Sub-Regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection of the Metropolitan Area of Porto.
The victim, struck by a “light passenger vehicle,” was transported to Hospital de São João in Porto.
At this time, the Civil Protection department has not released information regarding the victim’s age and gender.
The alert for the incident was issued at 10:38 a.m.
On the scene were 12 responders supported by six vehicles, including personnel from the Ermesinde Volunteer Firefighters, an Immediate Life Support Ambulance (SIV) from Valongo, the Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) from the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), and the Public Security Police.
