Home loan: Low installment of €88.90 in September with 12-month Euribor

The mortgage payment for September, based on an average 12-month Euribor rate of 2.114%, is expected to be 641.67 euros, compared to 730.55 euros during the same period last year, reflecting a decrease of 88.88 euros.

Simulations conducted by DECO Proteste/Contas e Direitos are based on a scenario involving a 150,000 euros loan over 30 years, with a 1% profit margin.

A client with a loan under the same conditions, referencing the six-month Euribor rate, will see their installment drop by 31 euros to 639.22 euros, based on the last revision in March.

For loans indexed to the three-month Euribor, the payment will now be 634.11 euros, down from 639.47 euros in the last revision in June, a decrease of 5.36 euros.

On July 24, the European Central Bank (ECB) paused a series of seven consecutive rate cuts, maintaining the deposit rate at 2.00%, the lowest level since the beginning of 2023.
