A horse, stolen two years ago in Lisbon, was found in Moita, Setúbal, on August 19. A 50-year-old man has been identified by authorities.
Military personnel from the National Republican Guard (GNR) encountered “a horse in an open field and conducted a chip reading on the animal,” determining that it was “stolen in the year 2023, in Lisbon.”
“During police investigations, the suspect in possession of the animal was identified, and the true owner was also determined,” stated the security force in a communication sent to newsrooms this Friday.
The horse was recovered and returned to its owner, and the facts were reported to the Judicial Court of Moita.
This operation was carried out by the Territorial Command of Setúbal, through the Nature and Environment Protection Service (SEPNA).
