Hospitality, aesthetics, porcelain: What Cristiano Ronaldo has in his portfolio

Cristiano Ronaldo’s influence extends beyond the football field. At the age of 40, the captain of Portugal’s national team boasts a diversified investment portfolio that spans hospitality, aesthetics, and, recently, the porcelain industry, generating millions annually.

This week, it was reported that Ronaldo partnered with Matthew Vaughn to launch a film studio.

Ranked by Forbes as the highest-paid athlete in the world in 2023, earning over 240 million euros, Cristiano Ronaldo announced in June last year his investment in Vista Alegre and the creation of a new company with this group.

This development was announced to the market less than a year after confirming his stake in what was then Cofina Media, which has since been renamed Medialivre, encompassing titles such as Correio da Manhã, Record, Jornal de Negócios, Sábado, TV Guia, Flash, and Máxima.

In 2021, Ronaldo ventured into a new business sector by investing in Insparya, formerly known as Saúde Viável, which is focused on health, specifically hair transplants.

Ronaldo’s entry into the hospitality industry occurred in 2016 through a 75 million euro joint venture with the Pestana Group to develop four new hotels in Funchal, Lisbon, Madrid, and New York, and the creation of the Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels brand, targeting millennials (those born between 1981 and 1996).
