The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) has issued a yellow warning for the districts of Bragança, Viseu, Évora, Guarda, Vila Real, Beja, Castelo Branco, and Portalegre due to the forecast of hot weather this week.
These alerts will be in effect in these eight districts from 9:00 AM on the upcoming Tuesday until 6:00 PM on the following Wednesday, as indicated by the IPMA.
The yellow warning is issued in situations where there is a “risk for certain activities dependent on weather conditions” and when it is necessary to “monitor the evolution of weather conditions,” according to the same institute.
For the next Tuesday, the day the yellow warning starts, temperatures above 30 degrees are expected, based on the forecasts available on their website.
In Beja, the maximum temperature could reach 39 degrees, in Bragança and Viseu 34 degrees, in Évora 38 degrees, in Guarda 31 degrees, in Vila Real 35 degrees, Castelo Branco 37 degrees, and finally, Portalegre 36 degrees.

The warnings will be in force from 9:00 AM on Tuesday to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, indicated the IPMA.
