Portugal ranks third among the most attractive destinations for hotel investment in Europe, according to the European Hotels Investor Intentions Survey 2025 conducted by the real estate consultancy CBRE.
“Portugal achieved the third position in the ranking of sought-after destinations for hotel investment, following Spain and Italy in the first and second places, respectively, highlighting a growing interest from international investors,” a statement obtained by Notícias ao Minuto reads.
Regarding individual cities, “Lisbon enters directly into fourth place among the most attractive cities for hotel investment, standing out for its increasing relevance in the European landscape.”
“In 2024, the Portuguese capital was not on the ranking, which demonstrates a significant evolution in its competitiveness and appeal to investors,” the released note states.
Duarte Morais Santos, Director of Hotels at CBRE Portugal, noted in the same statement that the “Portuguese hotel sector has been consolidating its position as one of the most dynamic in Europe, driven by resilient tourism and an increasingly sophisticated market.”
“The fact that Portugal has climbed four positions in this ranking reflects the recognition of its robustness and potential for sustainable growth,” he added.
