“As a member of the PSD in the Parliament’s Interest Register Working Group, it was approved at my request yesterday [Wednesday] at 2:30 PM,” announced the deputy, referring to the request for the Working Group to ask the Entity for Transparency (EpT) for “the computer records of who accessed, in Parliament,” the interest register of Prime Minister Luís Montenegro between April 29 and 30.
The deputy’s request comes after the Secretary-General of the PS, Pedro Nuno Santos, accused Luís Montenegro of “lacking the integrity for the position he holds,” following a report by the newspaper Expresso that the Prime Minister submitted a new statement of interests to the Entity for Transparency, revealing new clients of Spinumviva.
On Wednesday, during the debate between the two, ahead of the early legislative elections on May 18, broadcast simultaneously by RTP, SIC, and TVI, the Prime Minister stated that he did not make public any interaction, saying he had responded to a request made to him.

“Today I contacted the Entity for Transparency, which assured me that it did not publicize the information I sent yesterday and informed me that in the Assembly of the Republic, the information I channeled was accessible and that, therefore, this is possibly the origin of the diffusion of information that is not my responsibility, because I do not have authorization to publicize those clients who were not identified,” he stated.
