Several hundred people, mostly immigrants, gathered this afternoon in front of Portugal’s Parliament in Lisbon to demand rights and “documents for all.”
The demonstration, organized by the association Solidariedade Imigrante, was scheduled for 2:00 PM, and at that time, under intense heat, some protesters were distributing water.
Many more continued to arrive, and by 2:15 PM, several hundred people had occupied the area in front of the Parliament, sitting and chanting slogans such as “documents for all.”
