“Should your tax situation not align with the details in the pre-filled tax return, you are advised not to confirm the Automatic IRS,” warns the Tax Authority (AT), further explaining the steps taxpayers should undertake in such an instance.
“In this case, select from the side menu IRS > Submit Declaration and proceed with filling out the declaration,” the advisory mentions in a post shared on the social media platform Facebook.
The AT reminds users that the “Automatic IRS includes a provisional pre-filled income statement and the respective settlement statements.”
“If you have Automatic IRS, upon accessing IRS on the Finance Portal or the Automatic IRS app, the option to confirm the declaration immediately appears. The declaration becomes final on the date you confirm your details,” it states.
Subsequently, “once the delivery deadline has passed—by June 30—without confirmation, it becomes final.”
