“If the government claims to be reformist, if it truly wants to be reformist, it is obvious that it must have many proposals from the Liberal Initiative in that document,” stated Mariana Leitão, campaigning in the city of Leiria for the municipal elections on October 12.
The leader of the Liberal Initiative expressed her belief that “there are several liberal proposals” in the document, but emphasized that there remains “a whole specialization process” where the measures will be discussed.
“The State Budget is a fundamental governance tool of any country that will be delivered this week,” and “it seems that from the 10th, we will be able to debate” the government’s proposal, explained the leader of the Liberal Initiative, preferring to focus her speech on the municipal elections and the issues faced by cities like Leiria, where economist Paulo Ventura is her party’s candidate for mayor.
