The facilities result from the first phase of the renovation of the Paços do Concelho building.
A municipal note stated that the intervention aimed to enhance the capacity of the Municipality’s Social Development and Health Division.
The reorganization utilized the former exhibition gallery to house these services. The space now includes a general service area and a dedicated section for the CPCJ, along with waiting rooms and offices.
The adaptation also features the Inclusion Counter, designed for individuals with reduced mobility, and provides accommodation for social area teams.
According to the Ílhavo City Council, the first phase of the intervention represented an investment of more than half a million euros.
“In a second phase, the west wing of the building will be remodeled for support services and archiving,” the press release adds.
