
In the contracts signed over the past three months, the interest rate decreased from 3.057% in May to 2.951% in June.
According to the National Institute of Statistics, the average monthly installment was set at 394 euros, reflecting a decrease of 1 euro compared to the previous month and a decline of 10 euros compared to June 2024.
The average outstanding capital for all housing loans increased by 635 euros, reaching 71,677 euros. For contracts signed in the last three months, the average outstanding amount was 157,350 euros, which is 3,633 euros more than in May.
“The implicit interest rate on housing loans fell to 3.479%, a decrease of 9.1 basis points compared to the previous month, accumulating a reduction of 117.8 basis points since the peak reached in January 2024,” the INE stated.
