IN THE MINUTE: Passos in a PSD action in Amadora; Ventura appears after two

The head of the list for the National Democratic Alternative (ADN) to the Council of Viana do Castelo, Luís Arezes, aims to transform the capital of Alto Minho into the “Monaco of the Atlantic” rather than a “Marseille of the Mediterranean.”

In statements made, Luís Arezes, a 58-year-old consultant and professor from Barcelos, explained that the first step in realizing his project involves addressing the “mistakes of the city and council led by the Socialist Party [PS].”

“What we’re witnessing today in Viana is a generic city project without vision, without a sense of the future,” he emphasized, highlighting “issues in housing and urban planning,” among others.

The “ADN plan” to “transform Viana into the Monaco of the Atlantic, not a Marseille of the Mediterranean” is based on four pillars: tourism, sports, the sea, and knowledge. “The city and council will adhere to this future vision, naturally following a strategic diagnosis by the Council to eliminate waste and failures, and correct a set of issues, namely mobility, housing, and security.”
