The PSP and firefighters were present at the scene.

Efforts were made to ascertain the causes of both accidents, but they were unsuccessful.

Internet Reaction

On social media, where the two incidents were initially reported, many reacted. Regarding the first accident, questions were raised about whether the elderly driver was still fit to drive. In response, many pointed out that it would be incorrect to judge based on age, noting that accidents happen daily for far worse reasons such as speeding or driving under the influence.

As for the second accident, one user remarked, “It was reported that the driver in this accident is a woman. Considering earlier comments suggesting that the elderly driver shouldn’t be on the road, today is the day to claim that women shouldn’t drive.”

“Yesterday, on the A1, there was an incident involving a lorry that closed the road for several hours. The driver was a man. Should we all lose our driving licenses?” concluded the same user.

A Similar Incident Last Year in Bobadela

It is worth recalling that precisely a year ago, in November, a man collided with the gate of a kindergarten in Bobadela, injuring three people.
