
The Portuguese government program, Porta 65, designed to support housing for young people aged 18 to 35, benefitted 45,686 individuals by the end of September, as reported by Margarida Balseiro Lopes.
This marks a 32.5% increase compared to 2024, with last year’s figures showing 34,481 young people receiving rental support, up from 28,133 beneficiaries in 2023.
Regarding the financial specifics, as addressed by the Minister during hearings with the Culture, Communication, Youth and Sports Committees, and the Budget, Finance, and Public Administration Committees about the State Budget for 2026, the average amount of support rose from 255 euros in 2024 to 275 euros in 2025.
