
In comparison to August, the indicator rose by 0.2% in the eurozone and 0.8% across the 27 EU member states.
The EU’s statistical service reports that Sweden (14.7%), Denmark (9.5%), and Greece (7.1%) recorded the largest year-on-year increases in industrial production, while the most significant declines were noted in Bulgaria (-5.6%), Luxembourg (-3.4%), and Lithuania (-2.3%).
Compared to August, Denmark (7.2%), Sweden (5.3%), and Greece (4.8%) experienced the largest gains, whereas Ireland (-9.5%), Luxembourg (-5.7%), and Malta (-1.7%) saw the most significant decreases.
In Portugal, industrial production increased by 2.0% year-on-year and 0.6% compared to August 2025.
