The year-on-year inflation rate fell to 3.1% in July, 0.3 percentage points lower than in June, the National Statistics Institute (INE) confirmed today.
The year-on-year rate of change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) released today by Statistics Portugal coincides, rounded to one decimal place, with the value of the flash estimate released on July 31.
According to the statistical office, the slowdown is “partly associated with a decrease in prices in the food and non-alcoholic beverages class”.
