Following an inspection of Carpi Cosméticos Europa, Infarmed identified several legal infractions regarding the market placement of cosmetic products in Portugal.
In an informative circular published on its website, Infarmed states that Carpi Cosméticos Europa introduced various cosmetic products to the national market “without ensuring compliance with the prevailing legal standards, particularly concerning product notification, the identification of the Responsible Person in the European Union, and labeling requirements.”
Additionally, the presence of the ingredient Butylphenyl methylpropional, banned in cosmetics since March 1, 2022, was detected.
“Consumers who have these products should not use them,” warns Infarmed.
