Insurance says it will be a demanding PR and criticizes the Health sector

The presidential candidate is in Bragança today and during his visit to the Emídio Garcia school, he stated his intention to “promote a culture of commitment based on solutions”, emphasizing that “the President of the Republic cannot turn a blind eye to problems”.

“I have the power to mobilize the actors and political parties to find solutions, creating and promoting conditions for true pacts that produce immediate and future results. We cannot accept this horrible situation that healthcare has become, where people need consultations and wait weeks or months, surgeries where they wait months or years, and on weekends it is uncertain which emergency services are open,” he stated.

António José Seguro declared that the condition of the sector “is not acceptable, is not tolerable” and represents “a setback” in relation to the progress that had been made.

“We cannot accept these problems becoming the new normal,” he emphasized.

For this reason, he vows to be a demanding President of the Republic. “I will demand from those in executive power to improve the lives of the Portuguese,” he asserted, adding that his concern “is to mobilize all political forces, the Government, and the parliament, to find lasting solutions and substantive responses.”
