
The festival kicks off on Friday with an organ and cello recital by Polish musicians Radoslaw Marzec (organ) and Renata Marzec (cello) at the Church of Santo André.
On Saturday, the program features various recitals throughout the day at different venues. Performers include organists Laura Mendes at the Church of São Silvestre, Joana Galvão at the Church of Livramento, Beatriz Resendes at the Church of Encarnação, and Maria João Abreu at the Church of São Pedro in Ericeira.
In the evening, organist Beatriz Resendes and the choir Capela de S. Vicente will perform at the Church of Nossa Senhora da Assunção, under the direction of Pedro Rodrigues.
On Sunday, the Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Monte Carmo in Venda do Pinheiro will host a 17th-century organ and harp concert by André Ferreira (organ) and Maria Bayley (harp).
The program continues on May 2 with a concert featuring music for the six historical organs of Mafra, arranged for cello and bassoons. This event will include the Ensemble Bonne Corde, organist Miguel Jalôto, and direction by Diana Vinagre, at the Sala dos Atos Literários (Escola das Armas).
The weekend of May 3 and 4 will present a concert featuring organist João Vaz, soprano Eduarda Melo, and trumpeter Bruno Fernandes at the Church of São Silvestre, along with an organ and accordion recital with António Esteireiro (organ) and Gonçalo Pescada (accordion) at the Church of Santo André.
On May 9, the Church of Encarnação will host an organ and vocal recital with German musicians Andreias Liebig (organ) and Sidonie Otto (soprano).
The following day, Italian organist Luca Akaeda Santesson will perform a recital at the Church of São Pedro.
The festival will conclude on May 11 at the Church of Livramento with another organ recital by Spanish musician Joxe Benantzi Bilbao.
The Mafra International Organ Festival, under the artistic direction of João Vaz, is organized by the Municipality of Mafra, with support from the National Palace of Mafra and the Vicarage of Mafra.
