IP proposes a salary increase of 60 euros for all workers

The coordinator of the Federation of Transport and Communications Unions (Fectrans), José Manuel Oliveira, announced that Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) presented what it considers to be its final proposal during a meeting with worker representatives in the ongoing negotiations to revise the Collective Work Agreement.

In a video published on the Fectrans website, José Manuel Oliveira explained that the proposal includes a salary increase of 60 euros for all employees and an increase in the meal allowance to 9.80 euros.

“We will now assess the proposal with the workers to provide a final response by next week,” he stated, specifying a deadline of April 8, while encouraging workers to actively participate in the discussion.

At the end of February, after a negotiation meeting, Fectrans issued a statement expressing that the company’s proposal, which included three scenarios, still offered unattractive salaries that did not help retain workers.

The then-known proposal involved a 2.15% update, with a minimum increase of 49 euros and a meal allowance of 10.20 euros.

The alternative scenarios proposed a salary table update of 2% and a minimum of 57 euros, or an update of 59 euros, or 52 euros.

According to the statement from the Trade Union Negotiating Commission, which includes Fectrans and the FNSTFPS (National Federation of Public and Social Function Workers’ Unions), “it was conveyed that the values indicate that management intends to maintain unattractive salaries within the IP group of companies, which do not retain workers.”
