The exit from the A1 Highway to the Main Itinerary 3 (IP3) in Coimbra is closed following an accident involving three vehicles, which resulted in no injuries, stated a representative from the GNR Traffic Brigade in Mealhada this afternoon.
The spokesperson explained that the north/south exit from the A1 was indefinitely closed to clear the involved vehicles from the collision, which occurred around 5:20 PM and involved a semi-trailer truck and two passenger vehicles.
According to the official at the GNR General Command, the heavy vehicle was removed, and the road was reopened shortly before 8 PM.
Alternatively, drivers were advised to use the Coimbra South exit to reach the city and the IP3.
