A 26-year-old Irish citizen was found dead on a street in Lisbon on Wednesday morning, “showing signs of aggression,” confirmed a source from the Public Security Police (PSP) in a statement sent to Notícias ao Minuto.
The same source revealed that the man was found “lying on the ground” with “head injuries.”
“Given the possible crime scenario, the PSP took charge of the occurrence, preserved the potential crime scene, and reported the established facts to the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP) and the Judicial Police (PJ).
The alert to 112 was given at 8:50 a.m.
As reported, the body was found on a street of the former Casal Ventoso, located between Alcântara and Campo de Ourique.
The case has since been transferred to the jurisdiction of the Judicial Police (PJ). Currently, there is no information on detainees.
Attempts to Help Assaulted Friend Ends Fatally
It should be noted that, also during the early hours in Cascais, an American tourist was stabbed to death following an alleged altercation with three individuals who are currently at large.

An American citizen died, and another was injured early on Wednesday following a stabbing in central Cascais. The three male suspects are at large. They left the scene in a car already identified by authorities, but the trio remains at an unknown location.

The 35-year-old man reportedly tried to defend a friend, aged 34, who had been approached and assaulted by the suspects with “three punches.”
Both tourists were stabbed. The elder died on the scene, while the other was transported in serious condition to Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon.
