A 48-year-old man of Israeli nationality was arrested at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport for cybercrimes, noted the Public Security Police (PSP) in a statement issued to newsrooms on Tuesday.
The arrest occurred on July 21 at 8:25 PM when the Airport Security and Border Control Division carried out an “International Arrest Warrant.”
The suspect was apprehended at the Air Border Post “as he was preparing to leave Portugal for Israel,” having been “intercepted after an alert from the computer system, which had been flagged by INTERPOL.”
The detainee will appear before the Porto Court of Appeals today.
