Shopping with Brazilian currency is now possible at Continente stores in the Braga region through Pix, Brazil’s primary digital payment method.
“Exclusively for customers with a Brazilian bank account, Pix allows instant payments in Brazilian reais (R$), with the exchange rate and tax (0.38% IOF) included, at all Continente stores in the Braga region,” the company stated on its website.
“Enjoy the ease and security of payment as if you were in Brazil,” it added.
How is payment with Pix conducted at Continente?
- Confirm the amount: At the time of payment, you can see the amount in euros and reais, with the exchange rate and tax (IOF) already applied;
- Open the banking app: Open your banking app and scan the Pix QR code to make the payment;
- Approve the transaction: Verify the details and approve the transaction.
