A time change is set for this month with the arrival of the winter schedule. Do you know which day to be on alert for? And how will it work?
We explain everything in this article. As always, the change occurs on the last weekend of October. Therefore, in the early hours of October 26 (Sunday), clocks will be set back one hour.
If you are in mainland Portugal or the Autonomous Region of Madeira, remember that clocks will go back when it is 2:00 AM, becoming 1:00 AM.
Meanwhile, if you are in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, the change will occur at 1:00 AM, shifting to midnight.
The legal time will change again to summer time on March 29.
It’s important to note that the current time change regime is regulated by a 2000 EU directive, mandating that clocks are respectively set forward and back one hour on the last Sunday in March and the last Sunday in October each year, marking the start and end of daylight saving time.
