The Manchester collective, led by Tim Booth, will take the stage at 11:00 p.m. at Terreiro de Santo António, in the heart of the village.
The Terras do Lince Fair takes place from July 31 to August 3, featuring Gipsy Kings — Featuring Nicolas Reyes on the night of August 1, Alcoolémia on July 31, and Tradição d`Ouro on August 3.
On the same day that James performs, the Praça Nova do Ex-Quartel will host Áudio 80 at 9:00 p.m., Funk Boys at 1:00 a.m., and DJ Sayless at 3:00 a.m., while the afternoon will feature Bardo da Gardunha in the Jardim da República.
Performances by The Twist Connection, Bombatuke, DJ Dilcio, and Chaito & Palosanto are scheduled for August 1.
On opening day, in addition to Alcoolémia, P*ta da Loucura will also take the stage.
All events offer free entry at various venues.
This year, the Terras do Lince Fair is extended by an additional day compared to previous years.
According to the local authority, headed by António Luís Beites, the event “showcases the best of what is produced in Penamacor, marking the summer calendar in the village, with an exhibition of regional products and the economic and associative activities of the municipality, along with various activities and cultural entertainment.”
The municipality mentioned that the expanded format of the event also serves as a prime location for networking and business opportunities.
Each afternoon, there will be street entertainment with various musical groups and a series of parallel activities.
On the first day, the inauguration of the exhibition “A Second Look at the Work of Bertino Cordeiro” is scheduled at the Municipal Museum.
On August 2, the book “A gotinha vermelhusca” by Iolanda Santos will be presented at the Teatro Clube de Penamacor.
