
Professor and ISEG President João Duque issued a statement to the media, asserting that his image is being improperly used by unknown individuals to promote and sell financial products. He clarified that these ‘posts’ or videos are fake.
In addition to reporting these activities to the platforms involved, João Duque urges that such promotional videos be forwarded to the relevant authorities.
He emphasizes that his image is being used “fraudulently and without authorization” and confirms that he is not “associated with any institution or campaign in that regard.”
On Monday, former banker António Horta Osório also reported the existence of digital campaigns claiming to offer financial products or investment opportunities using his name and image. He declared these to be “completely false.”
“Since last week, fraudulent ads have been circulating online, improperly using my image and name to promote alleged financial products or investment opportunities. These campaigns are completely false,” he stated on his LinkedIn account.
