Viseu City Council announced today that Campo de Viriato will host José Cid at the end of the year and, at the beginning of 2024, DJ Overule and André Flor will be in charge.

“New Year’s Eve in Viseu promises to be a memorable night with great artists and gastronomic variety. José Cid is the headliner and takes to the stage at 22:30,” the Municipality of Viseu said in a press release.

Campo de Viriato “is getting ready to welcome the new year with a program full of entertainment and fun” until 02:00 on January 1, 2024.

“A 15-minute musical pyrotechnic show is scheduled for midnight to celebrate the arrival of the new year. The party continues “into the night” with DJs Overule and André Flor,” adds the municipality.

In addition to the musical program, “a food court will be set up in Campo de Viriato, where a variety of ‘street food’ operators including “popcorn, cotton candy and drinks” will be available,” he said.

The venue also has restaurants that will serve the last meal of the year 2023, but for which “reservations are required” in the Campo de Viriato.

“It’s important to note that if the weather conditions don’t allow the show to take place outdoors, the event will be moved to the Pavilhão Multiúsos, respecting the capacity of the space to ensure the comfort and safety of all participants,” says Viseu Câmara.
