According to Sofia Pereira, this “is not just a political choice, it is a choice of character” and “democratic culture.”
The JS leader, who expresses this support personally, believes that “António José Seguro represents a way of being that is needed.”
“He listens before deciding. He builds bridges instead of walls. He values difference instead of fearing it. At a time when aggression seems to replace courage, in this political context and in the context of these presidential elections, António José Seguro is the obvious choice for all progressives,” she praises.
As the JS leader, Sofia Pereira expresses pride in supporting someone who “has been through the same political house, with significant political work in defense of national youth.”
“I see in António José Seguro someone who understands the country, respects the institutions, and mobilizes the best of the national community, with decency, work, and empathy,” she commends.
On Sunday, in Penafiel, the PS National Commission will meet to decide support for a presidential candidate, with the agenda also including an analysis of the results of last Sunday’s local elections.
