American singer Katy Perry has been confirmed as a new addition to the Rock in Rio Lisboa 2026 lineup, as announced on the social media platforms of the artist’s fan club, following initial reports. Katy Perry is scheduled to perform on July 20.
“It is an honor to announce that I will be performing at Rock in Rio Lisboa 2026. This festival is one of the most iconic in the world and I am very excited to join this incredible lineup,” said Katy Perry in a video shared by the artist’s fan club on Thursday.
Notably, earlier today, Rock in Rio Lisboa shared on Instagram that “something very sweet” was “on its way to the Main Stage”.
Fans quickly associated the caption with the ‘Teenage Dream’ singer.
This will mark the fourth appearance of the American artist in Portugal. Katy Perry first performed in Lisbon on June 28, 2009, at Campo Pequeno, returning two years later.
On June 30, 2018, the singer, known for hits like ‘Firework’, ‘Hot n Cold’, or ‘I Kissed a Girl’, performed on the main stage of Rock in Rio Lisboa, at Parque da Bela Vista.
