Takeoffs and landings at Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport were temporarily suspended for “approximately 10 minutes” on Wednesday night due to a “medical emergency” aboard TAP Express flight TP1931, operated by Portugália Airlines.
The flight, originating in Porto, landed in the capital “safely, with a medical emergency on board, and appropriate ground assistance procedures were initiated,” confirmed the airline.
Both arrivals and departures were halted at approximately 8:50 PM for “about 10 minutes,” with the situation now believed to be resolved.
The television channel reported that the aircraft’s commander may have experienced a cardiac crisis, though his current health status remains unknown.
Both TAP and ANA Airports assured that passenger safety was never compromised.
Notícias ao Minuto attempted to contact TAP to confirm the situation.
