After a judicial decision following the initial interrogation, three defendants were released but must surrender their passports and are prohibited from contacting each other or leaving the country.
On April 1st, six individuals, aged between 29 and 57, including a policeman on extended leave, were arrested by the PSP in Lisbon for promoting prostitution and tax fraud against Social Security.
The arrests were executed by the Criminal Investigation Division in fulfillment of five arrest warrants, eight residential search warrants, and nine non-residential search warrants.
During the operation, authorities confiscated a .22 caliber firearm, two magazines, two 12mm shotguns, 32 rounds of 12-gauge ammunition, and nine pepper spray cans.
They also seized various electronic devices, including 17 mobile phones, eight computers, three tablets, 18 portable storage devices, a video surveillance system, and a portable radio communication device. Additionally, 107,565 euros in cash, two bank cards, five automatic payment terminals, and two bank checks with a face value of 5,000 euros each were confiscated.
The searches also led to the seizure of several dozen items used in the practice of pandering and documentation related to the organization and management of the establishments associated with the crimes.
