Chega’s deputy Cristina Rodrigues described the final version of the immigration law, with amendments proposed by PSD/CDS, as “sufficient,” but indicated her party aims to pursue further immigration reforms.
With Chega’s support, PSD and CDS are set to secure approval in general, detailed examination, and final stages for their amendments to the immigration law decree. This legislation, initially from the Government, was previously rejected by the Constitutional Court in August.
