The leader of the Macau government, Sam Hou Fai, has postponed his visit to Portugal and Spain, which was scheduled to take place between September 16 and 23. An official source confirmed this information.
“The visit has been postponed and there is no scheduled date for when it will occur,” stated an official from the Social Communication Office of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR).
The visit to Portugal would have been Sam Hou Fai’s first international trip since assuming office as the chief executive of the Macau SAR in December 2024.
This trip, had it proceeded, was set to begin two days after the elections for the Macau SAR Parliament, scheduled for September 14.
