Duarte Cordeiro Also Declines Legislative Participation
Former Environment Minister Duarte Cordeiro has stated he is “focused on professional life,” therefore declining to be a PS candidate for deputy in the Legislative elections. This situation mirrors the 2024 legislative elections, given that his name was then linked to Operation Influencer.
“I have had the opportunity several times to answer this question: I am focused on my professional life,” he responded.
Commenting on Fernando Medina’s decision not to be included in the PS deputies’ list, Duarte Cordeiro noted: “It’s a personal decision”.
“From what I know, it wasn’t due to the PS’s lack of availability that he isn’t on the lists, and I think it’s a decision that should be respected,” he said.

Former Environment Minister Duarte Cordeiro stated today that he is focused on his professional life, ruling out candidacy for deputy, and mentioned that it wasn’t due to “lack of availability” from the PS that Fernando Medina is not part of the lists.
