
Leroy Merlin has awarded its employees an average of “2.7 extra salaries.” In Portugal, the company employs 6,200 people and has distributed approximately 18.3 million euros among its staff as a share of the profits.
“This year’s distribution represents an increase of about three million euros compared to the previous year,” according to a statement accessed by Notícias ao Minuto.
By 2025, the company will increase the entry-level minimum wage to 920 euros, “representing a positioning of +5.7% above the national minimum wage.”
“The company is also launching a national recruitment campaign that strengthens its value proposition and attracts talent to the stores,” the statement continues.
